The Arizona State University (ASU) Art Museum is an artistic oasis in the desert.

In a scorching hot corner of ASU’s Tempe campus, the museum’s entrance is found underground, sitting cooly in the shade surrounded by the sound of fountains and the sight of sculpture.

The bastion of contemporary art spans multiple floors, galleries and exhibitions with a collection of thousands of pieces of art.

ASU Art Museum Public Relations Specialist Deborah Hilary Sussman agreed to an interview with the Pitchfork Press in order to expand on the museum’s importance.
